The Tenley-Friendship Branch Library is a glowing icon of leaning, brining new style of technologically advanced additions to the DC Public Library System. Electric and daylighting designs have been fully integrated and actively managed to create a "healthier" building, one which uses daylight as the primary source of light, preserves a connection to the neighborhood, addresses maintenance issues, and avoids the need for interior sun shades.
