Leading the way in sustainable design, the Mineta San Jose International Airport expresses the innovative spirit of the Silicon Valley region.  HLB worked closely with the design-build team of Fentress Architects and Hensel Phelps Construction on the new Terminal B, renovation and expansion of Terminal A, and a new 3,000 sqft consolidated rental car facility (ConRAC).  This fluid team provided a cohesive structure that reduced construction conflicts and avoided time consuming design changes.  Certified LEED Silver, the Terminal B energy efficiency measures exceed energy standards by 16.2%.  This is achieved thru a whole building approach to energy efficient design which includes energy efficient lighting systems.  This new facility delivers the signature brand that people have come to expect from Silicon Valley and its high-tech reputation.
