Nextel Station at the Monorail

Location: Las Vegas, NV

This Nextel Station is a customer service center extraordinaire, with an injection of Las Vegas showmanship. As a monorail stop at the Convention Center, the project is intended to capture monorail passengers and high-end clientele. The Gensler led design team created an environment with flair. At the center of the action, structural columns are wrapped with glass shrouds, illuminated with LEDs. The dynamic architectural shapes, internally illuminated, were developed to provide a sculptural decorative glow in the reception area. At the VIP lounge, the bar is internally illuminated with fluorescent strips.
