ECO chic meets ECO LED.
Set amongst a cluster of market-rate neighbors and biotech campuses, the 1180 Fourth Street mixed-use and affordable housing campus serves as a beacon for Mercy Housing. Conscious of their mission “to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities by operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families” HLB designed warm, inviting spaces throughout the campus.
HLB’s project scope for this 150-unit affordable family residential complex included exterior site and building facade lighting, amenity spaces, common areas, retail and restaurant shell, and residential units. The project addressed Title 24 energy standards. The complex features Energy Star Advanced Light fixtures throughout for energy bill savings, improved quality, and design flexibility. Continuous 40’ long recessed fluorescent wall-wash lights were used in the corridors, showing off an impressive glow when viewed from the courtyard.
