Boston Public Market

Smart, flexible and sustainable light illuminates a marketplace of fresh artisanal fare.

HLB Lighting Design teamed with Architerra to create a warm and inviting environment for this bustling market, working with a concept of “Farm Fresh.” Vendor canopies are highlighted with linear fluorescent uplights, which provide soft ambient lighting, while LED track mounted accent lights make products visually pop. High CRI LED modules were selected to provide the best color temperature possible and show merchandise in its best light. Copper pendants are suspended over circulation, creating a comfortable transition zone and helping to take the focus off the open ceiling and systems above.

HLB’s scope of work included exterior canopies and signage, market entries and halls, year-round and seasonal interior stalls, dining, seating areas, demonstration kitchen, and iconic blade signs.
