Warm colored exterior walls are washed with light from both above and below — creating an inviting and dramatic entry.
Downlights at the entry define the curved form of the canopy in juxtaposition to the rectilinear geometry of the uplights which reinforce the façade shape. Standard fixtures placed on custom cross-arms allow for the lowering of multiple fixtures from a singular device. Decorative sconces accentuate the conical form of the balcony fascia, and uplights hidden at the concert hall catwalks send a wash of light to the ceiling. Glowing jelly jar fixtures at the catwalk, as well as lamps integrated into the theater perimeter detailing, define the silhouette of the space.
The dynamic and high-tech lighting design included an 800-seat concert hall, a 250-seat state-of-the-art thrust theater, a 150-seat flexible black box studio theater, dance studios, a professional equipped scene shop, design, costume and make-up labs, a dramatic two-story lobby, and a musical theater rehearsal studio.
