MARRIOTT HOTELS – GAYLORD NATIONAL RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER

One size doesn’t light all — illumination responds to sheer size with a colorful array of lighting options and innovation.

Situated on a scenic bluff overlooking the Potomac River in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the Gaylord National Rsort and Convention Center is located less than ten miles from the national landmarks and federal buildings of Washington, D.C.

Positioned within a urban–waterfront community, the Gaylord is the largest combined hotel and convention center in the nation’s capital region consisting of 1,500 luxe hotel suites and guest rooms, 500 additional rooms and timeshares, 2 acre soaring 18 story glass atrium filled with lush gardens and 90 foot high fountains and a exhibition/convention center, meeting rooms, and ballrooms. There are also three fine dining restaurants, a private club, spa and fitness center.

A mix of decorative chandeliers, wall sconces and architectural ambient lighting was achieved with downlighting and concealed cove lighting in many different areas of the hotel. HLB provided various options and design solutions for a client with various needs throughout this massive project.
