Mineta San Jose International Airport

Light defines the high speed gateway of Silicon Valley — igniting the heart of high tech enterprise.

HLB worked closely with the design-build team of Fentress Architects and Hensel Phelps Construction on the new Terminal B, renovation and expansion of Terminal A, and a new 3,000 square foot consolidated rental car facility (ConRAC). This fluid team provided a cohesive structure that reduced construction conflicts and avoided time consuming design changes. Certified LEED Silver, the Terminal B energy efficiency measures exceed energy standards by 16.2%. This was achieved by utilizing natural daylight, occupancy sensors for lighting and a programmable lighting control system. San Jose Airport’s new facility delivers the signature brand that people have come to expect from Silicon Valley and its high tech reputation.
