Illumination wired for success — connecting scientists and engineers collaborating on experimental wireless research.

Every aspect of the building’s design is inspired by the vision of interconnected, ubiquitous broadband wireless communication. It provides some of the most advanced facilities in the nation, including clean rooms, micro-electro-mechanical labs, immersive virtual reality, and ultra-high-definition digital cinema. The lighting sought to convey technology’s dynamic nature and the synergy of intersecting ideas. Integrating dynamic colors, patterns and layers of light into the architecture visually brings this concept to life. Special features of the lighting included fluorescent T8 fixtures with orange gel sleeves to create unusual interest.
