UMass Amherst Furcolo Hall

HLB worked closely with the design team to establish lighting criteria that flowed with vibrant and collaborative schemes. HLB's scope of work included the main entry, faculty, graduate student and administrative offices, conference rooms, computer labs and classrooms, café, and unstructured learning areas. Using as few light sources and manufacturers as possible, a simple yet compelling lighting palette defines spaces through the use of recessed, pendant-mounted, and wall-mounted fluorescent slots. The project is cost-effective, easy to maintain, and pleases faculty and students alike.
