140 New Montgomery Lobby Renovation

San Francisco, California
United States

The latest lobby refresh of the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Building takes cues from the historic Art Deco details originally designed by famed architect Timothy Pflueger in 1925. The renovation successfully uncovers the architectural essence of a timeless structure, surrounded by a skyline of modern design.

HLB introduced new modern lighting technology to the lobby space, elevator lobby and main exterior canopies of the building, highlighting the building’s ornate architectural detailing — adapted from a Chinese brocade.

The building offers a modernized outdoor space, complimented by a sleek reflection pool and garden accented with glowing under bench lighting that creates a striking floating effect, enticing visitors into the outdoor space.
