Billerica Memorial High School

Billerica, Massachusetts
United States

Designed to symbolize the academic prowess and aspirational thinking that their program is known for, this bold new high school stands as the largest civic building in its town. The lighting concept incorporates a “less is more” approach, blending into and accentuating the sophisticated architecture, while meeting the typical public school budget.

In the atrium, daylight pours through south-facing skylights, taking center stage, while electric lighting plays a vital supporting role. In the auditorium, downlights provide general lighting, while concealed linear vertical coves create ambiance and excitement, drawing your eye towards the stage.
