As the centerpiece of the 5M development in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, the project unites the surrounding community with open green spaces, play areas, ample seating, a dog run, and a performance stage. Lighting was strategically integrated to enhance safety and security for users by activating the parks during the evening, resulting in a safe and comfortable environment for users.
Artfully illuminated wind baffles radiate a soft glow to enliven and anchor the parks. The structures are brought to life through an HLB-specified lighting control system that enables colorful, dynamic lighting effects through preset scenes. A variety of presets for the baffles include scenes for holidays and local sports teams, while general area lighting can be controlled for special events such as performances and movie nights.
