Launched by means of a State of California initiative to create four institutes of science and innovation, the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) embodies a cross-collaboration between UCLA and UCSB faculty from the life and physical sciences, engineering, and medicine disciplines. This state-of-the-art research facility at UCLA is home to some of the world’s leading scientists and houses a 260-seat theater, core facilities including wet and dry laboratories, conference rooms, classrooms, and cleanrooms.
