Walterdale Bridge

Edmonton, Alberta
Canada

The canted arches of the through-arch structure of this bridge over the North Saskatchewan River are traced with lines of color-changing light that have been programmed to celebrate holidays, events, and seasons of the year. Low-level LED lighting integrated into the handrail provides controlled illumination on the cantilevered shared use path while allowing for unobstructed views of the river and the Edmonton skyline.
