How We Work
From project onset, our private residential team works closely with clients to help realize their design vision. We are avid listeners, passionate practitioners, and seasoned problem solvers who bring decades of experience and creative lighting solutions to every collaborative exchange. Our team exercises the utmost discretion during the design process and after the project is complete, ensuring that every private residence remains exactly that.
Schematic Design/
Design Development
We meet with the client, architect, and interior designer to develop a design strategy tailored to the project, then produce a lighting plan and package to be issued as a pricing set to the builder and electrical contractor.
Construction Documents
We coordinate with kitchen designers, cabinet and casework contractors, pool and spa designers, and other specialists to ensure seamless integration with the lighting design. Once final refinements are made and details are drafted, we issue a revised drawing set for construction.
Construction Administration
We take a hands-on approach to adapt the design if construction issues arise, continuously communicating with all parties involved including the builder and electrical contractor.
Final Aiming
We work with the electrical contractor to adjust beamspreads and lenses to illuminate architecture, landscaping, artwork, and furniture, then coordinate with AV consultants and modify lighting control scenes to balance the finished environment.
