UCSB Davidson Library Renovation & Addition

Santa Barbara, California
United States

The Davidson Library functions as a 24/7 information commons, programmed for open study and interactive uses and features a ground floor café, a new home for Special Collections and an upper level event space for lectures and small campus events. Across the library space, HLB’s design helps to seamlessly tie the new addition to the renovated space while offering students a comfortable hub for working independently or gathering in groups. Exterior lighting ties the refreshed facility into the campus and lends to an overall sense of place.
