Brandon’s career has spanned the breadth of the lighting industry, giving him a holistic design expertise that enables seamless cross-discipline collaboration with spectacular results. In his nearly two decades of experience, Brandon has worked for lighting design firms in Boston, New York City, and San Francisco. His artistic talents and technical acumen, refined during his years as a theatrical lighting designer, are matched with a dedication to design excellence that ensures the delivery of transformative lighting solutions. Brandon serves as Managing Principal of HLB’s San Francisco office, as well as a Director and Treasurer for HLB’s Board of Directors. He is actively involved in the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), where he serves as a Director and Treasurer for the IALD Board of Directors. Brandon is also a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). In 2018 he was recognized as a national and international recipient of Lighting Magazine’s 40 Under 40 award, reserved for the most outstanding members of a new generation of lighting talent.

A dynamic leader in both business and design, Carrie approaches every challenge with an innovative mindset and contagious collaborative spirit.

Carrie’s holistic design perspective, refined over a career of nearly three decades, stems from a rich interdisciplinary education that helped her understand how to balance the scientific, technical, aesthetic, and human-centric aspects of lighting. Her wealth of experience and expertise empowers HLB to navigate complex design interventions with diligence, skill, and enthusiasm.

As Senior Principal, CEO, and a member of HLB’s Board of Directors, Carrie is a dedicated and passionate mentor to the next generation of lighting designers and leaders. Her commitment to paying it forward extends to the lighting industry at large – she previously served on the board of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, is a former President of the Designers Lighting Forum of New England, and a former Co-Chair of the Boston Society of Architects Women Principals Group.
