To support Alpha’s goals of fostering community growth and collaboration among employees, the design of their Dulles based headquarters provides upgraded open work spaces and a signature lobby experience all within the constraints of a tight schedule and limited budget.

The lobby features custom backlit perforated panels that surround the reception area in a warm glow. To avoid conflict with energy code allowances, a continuous LED sheet and strategic linear lighting was used to optimize energy consumption while creating visual focus within the lobby. In the open workstations and conference rooms, lighting was strategically integrated within architectural elements to minimize employees’ view of luminaires and preserve a feeling of openness in communal spaces.
