Lighting of design elements such as the canopy, glass façade, and wood wall in the pre-function area emphasize the KICC’s renewed aesthetic with this renovation. Color changing floodlights with custom widespread optics illuminate the canopy, creating an alluring first impression that can be seen from afar. Lighting of the wood wall presented a unique challenge for the design team, which was resolved using high-output wall washers to imbue the surface with a welcoming glow. Custom fixtures in the ballroom create a dazzling starry ceiling effect, supported by color changing lighting that reflects the palette or mood for any occasion.
