Orange County Museum of Art

Costa Mesa, California
United States

The distinct and dynamic architectural form of the Orange County Museum of Art is symbolic of its ongoing mission to champion the transformative potential of art. With flexible gathering spaces throughout, the museum is able to cater to the various art forms it celebrates and host educational programming for the community.

Carefully selected luminaries are integrated along the curved lines of the building’s sculpturesque form, illuminating parametric surfaces to showcase the architecture at night. All visible luminaires were specified in coordination with the overall aesthetic, creating a seamless, architecturally driven experience in which the museum itself is a work of art.
