The Art Complex Museum

Duxbury, Massachusetts
United States

This stunning renovation breathes new life into an existing private art museum. The purpose of this endeavor was to transform the space into a visually captivating experience, seamlessly blending modern upgrades with the timeless charm of the original structure. The goals included enhancing transparency at the main entrance and upgrading gallery and administrative spaces, all while preserving the museum’s unique character.

Subtle linear uplights were artfully placed above clerestory shelves, casting an inviting glow on the original timber roof and providing practical illumination and an effortless transition from day to night. Thoughtful handling of wattage and lighting layers ensured that the project met sustainability standards without compromising on the aesthetic vision.
